Yes, despite me saying I hate crackle, I really am posting crackle nail varnish two posts running! I've gone mad.
This is two coats of Germani-cure-by-OPI (see post here) with a coat of Barry M's gold crackle over the top.
The gold crackle has a very thick formula, and dries ridiculously quickly - so much so that it starts drying in clumps round the neck of the bottle as you wipe the overloaded brush on it! It's a pretty, pale gold crackle effect, with tiny sparkles. It dries very matte, so this definitely needs topcoat to bring out the shine and the sparkle. I do really like how these two colours go together though.
Good combo, works well.
ReplyDeleteI've tried the gold crackle and found it to be quite good.
Sadly my black Barry M crackle d(r)ied, shame really since it was good.
Thanks! There always seem to be 3-for-2 offers in Superdrug - I'm sure there are two nice shiny new Barry Ms that you need to get yourself for Christmas? With a free Crackle?
DeleteThe gold balances the brown really well. It's still very brown, but the combination is great. Amazing how teaming up two otherwise not brilliant polishes seems to work, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThey do really work, don't they? This combination reminds me of autumn leaves.
DeleteThis looks really good!
ReplyDeleteI must confess though I do have the this crackle and I absolutely hate it! Cannot apply it well at all. :(
I found it does take a lot of practice and getting used to. Plus LOTS of topcoat to make it look really good.
