My first Nubar! Contempo

I've had a lot of firsts this weekend! My first Layla, my first liquid sands, and now my first Nubar. I saw this on Amazon UK, and couldn't resist. This is Nubar Contempo, one coat (yes, really!) with no topcoat.

Nubar is Big-3 free and not typically available in the UK as far as I can tell, unless you buy online. Contempo is from the 2009 Modern Matte collection.

I really liked the application of this. The brush is nice (very like the China Glaze brush - quite narrow, which suits me) and the formula is even and smooth. I like the cap too - the shape makes it easy to hold cofortably, and the rubber finish is less slippy than metallic style bottle caps. This was opaque in one coat, and dries to a lovely satiny sheen. I like that it's not totally matte, it's a kind of in-between finish.

This is a rich pink-y red, which is right up my street at the moment.
