Ruby Pumps is a slightly darkish red jelly, with tiny, brighter red glitter. The glitter glows from within, and makes the colour look rich and shimmery.
This looks amazing in sunshine, and it shimmers beautifully in the light. I wore this for Christmas however, and the weather was wet, grey and windy, so it was hard to get a photo of it at its best.
There is a little tip wear here. This is three coats + topcoat (Seche Vite) and three days' wear. I love how easily Ruby Pumps goes on to the nails - it's even, and dries to a very hard surface. It can be a little rough on its own, but with topcoat it becomes very glossy and shiny. This is one of my absolute favourite polishes.
It's gorgeous...I do have a weakness for red, and for glitter, and it's got both :) Does the glitter end up going silver after a day or 2?
ReplyDeleteTurning silver? No, not at all, or not that I've noticed. The colour seems to last extremely well (this polish seems to dry very hard, especially with topcoat). The longest I've ever worn it is about six days.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favourite polishes ever!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, mine too! I'm so impressed with it - it's sparkly without being too showy, goes on beautifully, and lasts really well.
ReplyDeleteI gave in to the siren call of Amazon for a bottle of this in the end. Now all I have to do is wait for the postman.
ReplyDeleteYAAAAAAY! You know you wanted to.
DeleteIt's just so SHINY!!!!
DeleteI drove past a newly opened salon in town in the week & practically did an emergency stop, spotting a Zoya display. Popped in & they "can't sell them coz we use them & don't know the retail price" when they've got 3 of each on the rack! ASAGHSDASDKSAGDK. They did complement my Live & Let Die though. Will need to make friends with them I think.
