Barry M Navy & Models Own Freak Out

Barry M Navy is one of the very first Barry M polishes I had. I have shown it on this blog before, but never in detail. I think it's a really lovely colour.  This is one coat of Navy, with no topcoat.

Navy has a lovely shimmer, metallic quality that reminds me of the finish on car paint. There's definitely a lot of depth to it. Application is smooth and easy, and the polish dries quickly to an even, shiny finish.

I then added a good thick blobbed coat of the next Models Own Mirrorball, Freak Out. This is 'the blue one'. Like yesterday's Hot Stuff, you can't really do a standard coat of polish, it's better to dab this on and push the glitter around to cover evenly.

Freak Out is a clear base with lots of tiny fuschia microglitter, dakish blue hex glitter, pale blue bar glitter, and pale blue shards in random sizes and shapes. The pale blue bars and shards are particularly shiny and reflective.

There's no sun today to make this really shine for the photos, but it's still pretty nice, don't you think?

  4. That's a fab combination - how busy is it to wear? I always worry when I've got something too sparkly & busy that I'll get hypnotised while I'm driving. (Maybe I should have naked nails next week? Nah, not gonna happen!)

  6. My nails could be your twin! I put mine over my China Glaze Stone Cold in the end. 2 coats of Seche Vite tho and still not 100% smooth
