If BT can carry on pretending it's still Hallowe'en with their horrendous advert, then so can I with my Hallowe'en collection polish.
This is Cast a Spell from the 2012 Wicked Hallowe'en collection. This is two coats, with Seche Vite topcoat. Cast a Spell is a blackened green base with tiny greeny gold glitter particles.
This has the usual excellent China Glaze formula that applies perfectly, dries to a hard finish and lasts well. It's an interesting colour, and has a lot of depth to it. However, it's just not really doing it for me I'm afraid. I think it's because it's so dark, which is not really what I need at this time of year (I need bright cheerful colours!)
Hahaha! I thought nobody else had noticed those damn BT ads!
ReplyDeleteHaha! No, not just you! Isn't it awful??
DeleteThat looks a bit like cant-remember-the-name-of-it from the Skyfall OPIs, except yours has more sparkle. The sparkle on whats-it-called seemed to get a bit lost in the green black.
ReplyDeleteI know the one you mean.
DeleteThis one's ok, but it often looks black too, depending on the light.
Live & Let Die, one of the ones I've got. This is a lot sparklier than Live & Let Die, and quite a bit nicer. It's a really pretty colour, but I honestly can't see when to wear it, apart from the few days immediately around Hallowe'en. (That said, I'm wearing the near-dupe from the Strictly set today, but that's browner)
DeleteThat's the one.
DeleteI quite like this, but maybe not at the moment. Maybe with gold crackle over it or something.
