Barry M Gelly - Guava and Key Lime

Today I'm wearing two more of the Barry M Gelly range - these are from the newest summer 2013 releases, which are available in Superdrug and Boots.  They are Key Lime and Guava. I'm not sure why the blue one is called Guava though, as guavas are pink on the inside and green on the outside! Oh well...

Aren't they pretty together?

This is two coats of Guava and Key Lime on alternate fingers. The formula is so good that one coat was very close to enough, and if I'd applied it a little bit thicker then it would have been. But application is smooth and easy and the finish is lovely and glossy.

The blue of Guava was quite hard to photograph accurately - it's definitely a little bit more of a tealy-turquoise that it appears here. But I love how these two colours look together. I liked the combination so much that I added some curved tip guides on a diagonal, and painted one side of my nail in the contrasting colour.

Today is a beautiful sunny day. I've mostly been indoors watching tennis and dvds, and painting my nails! I'm not great with sunshine.

  2. When I get some funds, we're gonna have to do a swap so I can get my hands on some of these Gellys. I have Pomegranate and love it!

    1. I would love to! But you can no longer post nail polish in or out of the UK, sadly. Well, not unless you're a licensed company. It's tragic.

    2. Clearly the Royal Mail is protecting us from those highly dangerous bottles of Barry M. It's safe to post live bees though, obviously.
