Ferity Miss Match - Black Mist

This is yet another of my temperature-sensitive colour changing polishes from Ferity. This is Black Mist, a grey-black changing polish. This is a bit of an odd one, and I'm not entirely sure whether I like it or not. The colour changing effect is really strong, but it's not the prettiest of polishes!

This is three coats, with topcoat. I used Seche Vite, which did make the tips shrink a bit. When cold, this is an opaque black. When hot, it's a sheer, pale grey.

I do find these polishes fascinating, and I can't stop playing with them. However with this one, I felt as thought it made the tips of my nails look dirty, and the sheer grey wasn't the most flattering of colours, especially when my nails were mostly hot, with cold at the very tips.

  1. It looks great at the point where it looks like a french & a gradient, but I know what you mean, it's slightly odd otherwise.

    1. The majority of the time it looked like the top photo. What I found looked particularly odd was when I had a three-tone look, of nail bed, a stripe of whiter colour where my free nail was, then a stripe of black where the very tip was cold. Maybe my nails are too long? They are really long now!
