China Glaze - I Herd That & OPI - Tickle My France-y

One of my newest purchases is China Glaze's I Herd That. It's the gold glitter from the Fall 2012 On Safari collection, and is the only one I've bought.  I decided not to wear it alone, so I wore it as an accent nail with OPI's Tickle My France-y.

Tickle My France-y is from OPI's France collection from 2008, although I've only had it a year or so. In fact, it may have been my very first OPI. I've worn it a few times, but it isn't a favourite of mine as the brush is a bit splayed, which makes it awkward to use. The formula is a bit thin and runny, and with the brush, I find it pools round my cuticles, especially on my smaller fingers. It's a nice warm nude shade though, and I do like the colour. It reminds me of very milky tea, and it's quite a flattering shade I think.

I Herd That is right up my alley though. It's a clear base with lots of small gold glitter. There is bright yellow gold in there, and some coppery orange gold, and some reflective holo bits that look reddish in certain lights.  It dries matte, which also looks good - a bit like crunched up ground sugar. I wore it with topcoat though, for added shine and sparkle.

I made a ring to go with it too! After all, I don't have many nail varnish rings - HAHA!

I do love a nice sparkly ring!

  1. Wow, the CG polish is so beautiful! What do you think, can this be considered a duplicate?

    1. Hm... possibly. Although that seems to have a ton of holo glitter in there too. They do look similar though.

    1. There's some on Amazon (search for seller BeadaholiqueUK, or for glass cabochons) which is where I bought first. I buy now direct from the US website (Beadaholique). There are lots of supplies on Etsy too, the only reason I don't buy from there is I don't have PayPal.
