Hi Elanor, Think I may have a reason why I cant pin anything of yours. Do you upload from flickr? Are your photos private on there? Read this if they are... http://unskinnyboppy.com/2012/04/help-my-flickr-photos-are-no-longer/
ReplyDeleteor this... http://www.lesliekeating.com/2012/04/how-to-share-your-flickr-pics-on.html
On a side note, I managed to find one that I could pin but when I went back in to see if anymore was available, the one I had pinned was now barred... WTH is going on? lol! You can check out your pinned pic by clicking on the link in my sidebar. :)
Thank you! I'll investigate. I might have to go back and watermark everything, so that if things do end up on Pinterest and Tumblr and so on, it's obvious that they are mine. I know you credit, but not everybody does! I'll look into this tomorrow - thanks for letting me know!
DeleteI love that there's a blog dedicated solely to nail varnish! I was so happy when I found that I could see what they all look like before I buy them, so helpful. I love your Barry M reviews, I love that brand as well. I have a question though, how do you keep your nails so strong and in such good condition when you wear nail varnish all the time and presumably use varnish remover a lot? I can never grow my nails long because they are so bendy and peel loads and I always think it's partly due to me wearing nail varnish all the time.
ReplyDeleteHello! Thanks for your comment, and I'm glad you like the blog.
DeleteI find that my nails are actually in better condition now that I'm painting them and looking after them all the time! A couple of years ago, when I only painted them for special ocassions, they were far weaker, I suspect because they were bared to the elements at all times.
Nowadays I swear by OPI Nail Envy - I use the original one, but there are several different ones. I use it as a basecoat all the time, and sometimes just wear it on its own. I think it's excellent. But I also make sure that my nails are always clean and use hand cream several times a day. Whenever I take off my nail varnish (yes, pretty frequent!) I moisturise and make sure I rub cream well into my cuticles. And I never every do the washing up or gardening without gloves! But apart from that I don't do anything special - it's probably all the Nail Envy!
Thanks for the tip! I think I shall be buying myself some of that Nail Envy. Love the latest post on the gemstones by the way :) keep it up!
DeleteThanks!
DeleteYes, I love Nail Envy. Don't buy it in shops though - it's about half the price in online places like Amazon.
