Bow Thermo Topcoat - Blue Stamping

Sorry for the lack of posts - I've been on holiday! I thought I'd set these blue nails to post while I was off, but apparently not, so here they are now.

This is another of my Bow Thermo Topcoats (I bought 5 of them).  I started with two coats of this. It dries to a pretty matte finish, with a subtle sparkle.

This polish goes from a translucent blueish white when warm to a deep blue when cold.

I then stamped over this using Barry M Blue Grape, and a MoYou London plate, although I can't remember which one. I also added Seche Vite for extra shine and smoothness.

I do love stamping over a thermal polish, for the way you get a pattern appearing as if by magic!
My nails look so long here! I broke a couple before I went away on holiday, so cut them down quite a bit before I went.

Bow Thermo Topcoat - Pink Stamping

Here's the next of my Bow Thermo Topcoats. This is the pink one.

I started with a base of two coats of Bow Thermo Topcoat Pink. This is another one which is almost invisible when it's really warm - it's just a translucent polish with a slight glittery shimmer, which then becomes bright pink when cold.

I stamped over it using Barry M Pink Punch and MoYou London Pro XL06.  I also added Seche Vite topcoat for extra shine.

I love stamping over thermal polishes like this, so that the pattern disappears and reappears through the day!  I know the visible nail line in the warm state isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I'm fine with it.

The pink is a really nice shade too, and so pretty!

Bow Thermo Topcoat - Purple Stamping

Today I've been wearing the second of my Bow Thermo Topcoats.

This is two coats of Bow Thermo Topcoat Violet. I then stamped on top of it using MoYou London Flower Power XL06 and Barry M Blackberry.

The Violet Thermo changes from a translucent polish with a hint of lilac when warm to a dark purple when cold. Like yesterday's Red Thermo Topcoat, there is a really pretty shimmery glitter running through it.

When my nails are cold, they are almost completely plain purple. For most of today though it's been really hot, so my nails have been the paler lilac base with the purple flowery pattern showing in full.

I really like these thermals! They're so pretty!

Bow Thermo Topcoat - Secret Stamping

I recently bought 5 of the Bow Thermo Topcoats - the black, purple, blue, pink and red ones. I have used the red one for today's nails.

I started with a base of the red thermo topcoat (I know! It's all the wrong way round, but there we go...) and then stamped over it using Barry M Blood Orange and MoYou London Flower Power XL06.

The Bow Thermo Topcoats are slightly sparkly thermal polishes that go from an almost invisible translucent when warm to a bright colour when cold. This one is almost the same shade as Blood Orange, so when cold, the stamping hardly shows. When warm, the stamping is clearly visible.

I added Seche over the top for added shine.

I love combining stamping with thermal polishes!  The thermal effect is really strong in these Bow polishes, and I really like the sparkly finish!

Geometric Pink and Holo Nails

I'm not very well at the moment, and haven't done my nails in a few days. In the meantime, here are some nails I wore last week.

The base is Mood Maker Pink, a cheap thermal polish that goes from dark pink when cold to a paler pink when warm.

I then used geometric stencils from What's Up Nails, and a holo stamping polish by Colors by Llarowe, This Heart Bleeds for the design on my thumb and ring finger.

I love how crisp and clean the lines are with this stencil and with the stamping holo.  I'm sorry about the shadow on the sunshine photo, but it was the only one I got showing how sparkly the holo is in sunshine.

Mood Maker Pink Thermal

As I've said many times before, I'm a huge fan of thermal polishes! So I was very excited when I saw this set in Boots the other day.

This was in the gift section, not with the normal nail varnish and makeup. I've never heard of the brand, but the set of two was £6, and the bottles are full size, so it's pretty good value. The two bottles aren't labelled with names, but today I'm showing you the pink one.

The smell of this is quite strong, as with most other thermals I've used. Once you've topcoated though, the smell isn't an issue. Application is fine - the formula is fairly thin, and the first coat is a touch streaky, but with two coats this is even and opaque. It dries well, with a slightly matte finish, so I added topcoat.

When cold, this is the bright, strong coral pink in the first photo. When warm, it moves through a peachy colour to a very pale nude pink.

I really love how this looks as it transitions from cold to warm. The change was really rapid, so I spent quite a bit of time holding my fingers under hot and cold taps!

I wore this for three days, and it wore really well. No chips or peels or tip wear. I'm impressed!

Dance Legend Thermo Trio with Stamping

These are the nails I've worn for the last couple of days - more thermal polish with stamping, which is one of my favourite things to do.

This is Dance Legend Thermo Trio, which shifts from a pretty pale lilac when warm, through pink to dark purple when hot.  I then stamped over this with Barry M Silver Foil and Born Pretty Store stamping plate BP-48.

I love how this came out, although it was really hard to capture the cold colour, as it's been so warm recently. I'm always really hot at the moment!

The Born Pretty 48 plate is fast becoming one of my favourites. The pattern is so pretty. I especially like the swirly bit on my ring finger.

Orange-Red Secret Thermal Stamping

I've done this sort of look a couple of times now, and it's become one of my favourite ways to play with stamping. As you know, I love a nice thermal polish, so today I've used one with a bit of a twist.

This is two coats of Ferity MissMatch Red Temptation, which changes from a bright yellowy orange when warm to a bright scarlet red when cold. I wore this on its own today, and it mostly appeared yellow with red tips for me.  Then tonight I've stamped over it to create a sort of secret stamping design.

I used an orangey red polish, Barry M Blood Orange, which matches the cold colour of the Ferity thermal. I used the MoYou London Pro XL 06 plate again, one of my favourites.

When cold, the stamping is almost invisible, but when it warms up, the design appears.

I love this kind of look, and I do love reds and oranges.

Thermal Red-Black with Secret Stamping!

I've showed you this Dance Legend thermal polish before (see post here), but last time I wore it, my nails were very short. While the polish looked good, I was looking forward to seeing what it looked like now my nails are longer again.

The answer is - pretty damn good!  There's some tip shrinkage here from the Seche Vite topcoat, as I'd been wearing this for a couple of days when I took these pics.

This is two coats of Dance Legend Termo 181, with topcoat for shine.

This is a red to black jelly polish, full of red and gold glitter. When it's cold it's a glossy black, with some of the glitter hinting through. When it's warm, it's a gorgeous orangey-firey red.

This is immediately after holding my hand under the hot tap...

And this is the polish gradually cooling down on the tips...

And this French mani look is the appearance it's had for most of the last two days - warm fingers, cool nail tips.

This morning, I wasn't ready to take this off yet. So I stamped over the polish with Konad Black and MoYou London Pro XL 14.

When cold, the stamping isn't at all visible. It's just black polish with a few bits of glitter.

But when I come inside from the cold, the design starts to appear!

And a bit more...

And a bit more...

And a bit more!  I touched up the tips slightly with the Konad Black to cover the shrinkage.

I'm thrilled with how this turned out! I think it looks really cool and quite elegant. It sort of reminds me of posh damask wallpaper or something.
