I'm excited about today's post! I have a third lovely Jacava polish to show you, plus some nail art I've done using the new polishes, plus details of an exciting Jacava giveaway which will allow one lucky person to win the entire Woodlanders polish collection!

These were the three polishes I tried:
You can see my swatches of Holbein Place and Justice Walk by clicking on the links. Today I have Phene Street to show you.
This is the darkest of the three, and is a gorgeous muted, dusky purple. I really love the tone of all three of these polishes (and of lots more in the collection) which really does fit in with the misty autumnal woodland idea of the collection.
Phene Street is another polish with a fantastic formula and finish. This is two coats, although this was opaque with one. I only added a second out of habit!
I really like how these colours go together, so I also used them for a couple of nail art looks. First off, I used sellotape to make a simple blocked tape design.
I was really pleased with this, and wore this for a day at the weekend.
The colours go so well together, I think!
Then today, I've used the colours to make a gradient and a water marble.
These worked really well for water marbling, I was very impressed! And they're fabulous for gradients - I love how nicely they blended.
Last up, the exciting news! Jacava are running a competition which will allow someone to win the entire collection! (See the range here - that's SEVENTEEN bottles of polish!) All you have to do is check out their Twitter or Facebook, and follow the instructions to enter.
These polishes were provided for my honest review. I don't get anything if you enter or win the competition (I'm entering it too!) See my Disclaimer section for more information.
Today I have the second of my new Jacava polishes to show you, Holbein Place. This is the second of three polishes from the new Woodlanders Collection that I have to show you. This is Jacava's Autumn-Winter collection, and is full of gorgeous dusky autumnal hues.

Holbein Place is a pretty pinky lilac creme. I wore this for three days with one coat and no topcoat, and it stayed perfect for almost the whole time. There was a teeny tiny bit of tip wear this evening, because I've been typing all day at work for three days, so I touched up slightly and added topcoat before taking these photos.
Isn't this a pretty colour?
The formula is excellent. Like Justice Walk, this is a one-coater, with a smooth, even consitency, which is self levelling when you apply it.
I've made no secret of how much I love Jacava polishes. This is definitely one which will be getting a lot of use from me this autumn.
Keep your eyes open for news of a fab competition from Jacava coming soon!

These are the nails I've worn for the last couple of days - more thermal polish with stamping, which is one of my favourite things to do.
This is Dance Legend Thermo Trio, which shifts from a pretty pale lilac when warm, through pink to dark purple when hot. I then stamped over this with Barry M Silver Foil and Born Pretty Store stamping plate BP-48.
I love how this came out, although it was really hard to capture the cold colour, as it's been so warm recently. I'm always really hot at the moment!
The Born Pretty 48 plate is fast becoming one of my favourites. The pattern is so pretty. I especially like the swirly bit on my ring finger.
Today I was in the mood for a water marble. I wanted to make a neon rainbow one, but I just could not get the polishes to spread on the water, so I gave up that plan and made a pastel one instead using China Glaze polishes.
I started with a white base, and then used Tart-y For the Party, Pink-ie Promise and Keep Calm Paint On for the marble.
I've added topcoat for shine. This looks a bit scruffy round the cuticles, especially on the thumb, as I found it quite hard to clean up for some reason. My cuticles are really dry at the moment too. I need to do a deep-moisturising treatment!
Today I had a play with two of the Models Own Diamond Luxe polishes, and came up with this lilac to purple gradient.
The Diamond Luxe polishes work really well for a gradient - they're nice and thick and opaque, and the shimmer is so pretty.
I was going to stamp over these with something gold, but then I broke another nail, so I ended up taking everything off so that I could fix it.
Still, I was pleased with how the gradient turned out.
Just a quick post today - I'm still wearing my dotty rainbow nails because I don't want to take them off yet! These are some nails I did last week and didn't post.
This is a base of Rimmel Pro Ultra Violet. I stamped over this using Barry M Blackberry and MoYou London Mother Nature plate 14.
It's a simple look, but I liked wearing this.
The Barry M Gelly polishes are so good for stamping!
So, while I loved yesterday's purple gradient, today I wanted to stamp over it. It took me a while to decide what colour to use - I couldn't make up my mind between white, silver, gold, black.... but eventually I decided on Barry M Blackberry, a lovely glossy purple from the Gelly range.
The gradient was done using Barry M Heather and Orchid from the Silk range. I stamped using MoYou London Mother Nature plate 11. I love this plate! I think it must be the plate I've used the most often so far.
I love how this turned out! I added topcoat (Seche Vite) for shine and protection, and I love how it brings out the shimmer of the Silks.
Wow, it's been ages since I've posted! In fact, this is my first post this MONTH! I actually haven't painted my nails at all in weeks, apart from one time (and that went really wrong, so I took it off straight away). My nails have been really falling apart; I lost the corners on both thumbs and a couple of other fingers, so my nails are looking really uneven, especially on my right hand. They're quite brittle and weak at the moment, despite the Nail Envy which I use almost every day.
ANYWAY, today I have actually done my nails. This is a gradient using two of the Barry M Silks, Heather and Orchid.
There's not a lot to say about this really. I started with a coat of Heather, the pale lilac polish. I then used a makeup sponge and Heather and Orchid, the purple polish, to sponge on the gradient. I didn't add a topcoat, as I love the silky matte finish of these polishes.
I may stamp over this tomorrow.... what colour do you think would work best?
My nails for tomorrow are a combination of two of my latest purchases - Barry M Fondant and Models Own Chrome Green.
This is two coats of Fondant. This is a really nice, pale lilac colour, one of the new Gelly releases. Formula is like the other Gellys - really good and highly pigmented. I like this one a lot.
I then stamped over Fondant using Models Own Chrome Green and the MoYou London Tropical XL 11 plate.
The Models Own Chromes stamp really well. I love the high shine metallic finish in contrast to the creme base, so I didn't use topcoat.
What I did use for this mani, which is new to me, is something that was really exciting (at least, in my opinion!) I will tell you all about that tomorrow!
Oh dear. This seemed like such a good idea at the time, and it did look pretty in giant close up under a bright light. But as soon as I stepped away from my nail painting table with its bright light, and took off my glasses, my stamping became entirely invisible!
I started with two coats of Rimmel Pro Ultra Violet, a fab lilac polish which I really like.
I then stamped using Barry M Lilac Foil, and MoYou London Pro XL 14 plate.
It's pretty isn't it? But I really wish I'd stamped using white, or gold, or dark purple. Or SOMETHING other than this!
You know how much I love a thermal polish! Last week I finally caved, and bought several from Rainbow Connection.
This is Dance Legend's Thermo Trio. I was really excited about this one, as it's not only two colours in one, it's THREE!
Dance Legend is a Russian brand, and I'm sad enough to be really excited about all the cyrillic writing on the bottle.
This is three thin coats, with topcoat. The formula is fantastic - really smooth, very pigmented, and it dries ridiculously quickly. This dried to a really nice matte finish, but I added topcoat because I wanted shiny today!
I have to say, the trio effect isn't THAT obvious, but the colour change between the deep purple colour when cold, and the pretty lavender blue when warm is really strong and quick.
I did manage to snap this photo with my phone, just to prove that it really DOES do the three-colour thing. I found that it seems to happen when there is a sudden colour change though - like when you have warm hands but suddenly go outside into the cold. It blends from the pretty lavender colour, through pink to purple.
Isn't it pretty? I can't wait for my nails to grow a bit, because I think the gradient effect will be far more obvious with more free edge. (I had to cut them, I broke the corners off three of them in one day! Stupid lever arch files!)
I haven't had enough of stamping and Barry M yet! Today's nails are a base of two coats of Barry M Orchid, from the Silks collection, with a stamped design using Barry M Lilac Foil.
I used the MoYou London Pro XL 14 plate. It's a lovely plate with lots of intricate curves and flowers.
I love how pretty Orchid is with topcoat - you can get a good idea of the shimmery bits coming through here. And I'm really chuffed with how the two colours turned out together.
The Barry M Foils (gold, silver, lilac) are really fantastic for stamping. I prefer them to my black and white Konad polishes. I really wish they'd make some other colours! A red would be awesome!
I'm sure you've seen the new Models Own collection on blogs by now - the Diamond Luxe collection contains "real diamond dust" and has fancy gold lids and bottle designs. There are ten colours in the range, and they're available online and at Bottleshops now (for the normal Models Own price). I popped over to Meadowhell yesterday and bought six of them from the lovely Bottleshop there.
Up first is Pear Purple, a pretty lilac shade. It took me a while to realise that the name doesn't relate to the fruit, but to the diamond cut!
This is two coats of Pear Purple, with topcoat and some added rhinestones, just to go with the jewel theme.
The formula for this is a bit different to a normal polish - it feels quite thick and almost gritty as it goes on, but it was really easy to apply and needed no clean up at all. It dried beautifully, although it wasn't the shiniest of finishes, hence the topcoat.
The shimmer in there is so pretty! I found it really hard to capture on camera, but it's really soft and shimmery and lovely. There's a sort of gold shade in there somehow, which makes the colour so rich and warm. I really like this one a lot! And this is the one I liked least (at first glance) of the 6 I bought, so I'm looking forward to trying the rest!
In other news, Elanor's Nails will be THREE years old in October, and I will be having a giveaway mid-month, with all sorts of prizes! Follow me now on Blogger, Bloglovin, Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for more chances to win!
