So I spent the afternoon playing around with gradient nails, and this is what I've ended up with. They're far from perfect, but I'm pretty pleased with them for now. These remind me of a Tequila Sunrise!
I used a base coat of white (Models Own Pro French White) and then sponged yellow (Barry M Yellow), orange (Barry M Gelly Satsuma) and then red (Barry M Gelly Blood Orange) over the top, one at a time.
They could be tidier, but they look fab from arm's length!
I love both your gradient nails - how DO you get them to separate? When I tried it, no one could possibly tell the colours apart, they sort of blend over. Sorry to attach a link, but here's the picture of my horrendous three-OPI-polishes gradient nails. Ignore if disinterested, it's a bad nail art anyway! http://mybeautyjunction.blogspot.in/2013/02/nail-trail-ombre-with-opi.html
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteHm.. I think what you've got is colours that are too similar. Try it with colours that have more difference and it might show better.
(By the way, ombre and gradient aren't the same thing:
