Jacava Passion & Gold Striping Tape

Just a quick and simple mani to show you today. This is Jacava Passion, one of my pre-Christmas Jacava purchases, paired with simple strips of gold striping tape.

Passion is a beautiful, rich pinky red creme polish with a superb formula. One coat would have been enough if I'd made it slightly less thin on a couple of the nails - but I was a bit too stingy on a couple, so I added a second coat. The photos aren't entirely colour accurate - the nails looked a bit redder and less pink in person. I do think this colour is lovely though, and as usual, Jacava really is a fantastic quality polish.

I realised yesterday that while I use striping tape often to paint over and then remove, I've never actually done a design where I leave it on! So I added a simple strip across the tips of each nail with this goldish bronze tape, added topcoat, and left it at that.  I loved how the gold on the polish bottle contrasted with the pink, so that's why I chose that colour tape.

I was really pleased with this look! It was easy and quick to do, but really effective for a bit of sparkle on my nails without being OTT.
