Lightning Bolt Mani with Barry M Glitterati

A couple of weeks ago, I bought a whole load of different nail vinyl stencils from She Sells Seashells (see the fab shop here) but hadn't got round to using any yet. I also had the entire Barry M Glitterati collection which I hadn't tried...

Aren't they beautiful?  So tonight I decided to kill two birds with one stone and use the lightning bolt stencils and the Glitterati in one go.

I started with two coats of Barry M Pearl, the white one from the Silks collection. Then I used the stencils on each nail - they're much nicer to use than sellotape as they're a lot more flexible and stronger. You just paint over the stencil and peel it off again.

From thumb to pinkie, this is Fashion Icon, VIP, Catwalk Queen, Starlet and Socialite.

These glitters are beautiful! They all have a coloured jelly base with loads of fine glitter and holo particles. They dry quickly and with a slight texture to them. I added topcoat for this design.

Starlet looks a little coral here, although it isn't really. I think that's because it's on the sheer side and it's over white. On its own it's much pinker, honest.

As you can see, I haven't used the black one yet. I'm saving that for something else!

Yes, I keep finding it impossible to type too - I keep writing Sea Shells Shesells.

  4. Fab mani. The black is GORgeous, by the way, wearing it now. It also matches my car, which is as good an excuse as any.

    2. I have a midnight grey car, with a subtle holo when I've washed it. Maybe I should do that from time to time.
