I'm kicking myself that I didn't get better photos of these. I painted them last night, and then added the flocking this morning before I left for work. I snapped this pic in my car outside the office, without seeing the horrendously dry state of my cuticles.
Then by the time I got home, the nice fluffy yellow was a bit manky, and the green was peeling a bit round the edges. I'm assuming that this was due to the multiple layers.
I have two coats of white creme (Models Own Pro French White) and then Barry M Spring Green and Barry M Bright Yellow. The yellow nail is then covered in flocking powder.
I think the idea was better than the execution, but hey, who cares?
I will be cheering on Federer on Sunday. C'mon Rog!
You're crazy, but a genius!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Why the but? Both are compliments, surely??
DeleteOh! I had thought the base was green and then the white stripes were added..either way I do love this design.
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't have a white that's opaque enough to cover green in one coat. Plus the green stains a bit, so I prefer to put it over white so it doesn't.
DeleteOMG that is hilarious. Love it!
ReplyDeleteYay!
DeleteGenius idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I had so much fun with this one. People kept wanting to touch my thumbs too.
