Nail Polish Dotfest!

Hello! I'm back! Thank you to those who sent messages asking where I was - no, I haven't vanished or died or anything, I was just on holiday (seeing Bruce Springsteen, woooo!)  I'm back now.  Today I'm posting something I made at the weekend, inspired by Kayla Shevonne's amazing nail polish room and her even more amazing nail polish art!  Seriously, I want that room!  Now, Kayla Shevonne's piece of art is just gorgeous, and far nicer than mine, but as always, I was really impatient and wanted to just throw something together without thinking too hard.

I bought a 50x50 cm canvas for £9.99 from a home bargain store with a craft section, and used masking tape to tape off an even grid. I then spent Sunday throwing nail varnish at it.

Once it had dried, I hung it in my bedroom. Job done. It's not as fancy as it could have been, and I kind of wish I'd made a pattern, but even so, there are 169 dots of my favourite polishes, and it looks sparkly when the sun shines, so hurrah!

    1. AWwww thank you!

You should definitely make your own! I had a lot of fun. The place I bought the canvas from had so many sizes and shapes, and they were pretty cheap, so I have ideas now... I may have to make more!

    1. Thanks! They really aren't all perfect! But some brushes were easier than others - Opi and Barry M were the best because they were stiff enough to sort of stipple the polish on.
