With all the Hunger Games nail art that's been around recently, I've been thinking about flames, and I wanted to make some kind of flamey pendant out of nail varnish.
However, I'm really not sure about this! I don't know whether I like it or not.
The flames are made of Sinful Colors All About You (gold and bronzey particles) and Barry M Red Glitter, then there are tiny touches of Rimmel's Disco Gold to be the flying sparks above the flames, and the background is Rimmel's Black Out. I like the colours, but I am inclined to think the flames are too neat and tidy and maybe too small.
What do you think? Should I just stick it to the pendant finding and wear it? Or should I wipe it all off and start again and make it differently?
I like it. I think it looks like a little camp fire, around which you'd make s'mores. ;-)
ReplyDeleteNow if you were envisioning something more realistic, or a more "organic" look, perhaps this flame mani could inspire you:

Ooh, I like that one! I've seen a lot of flames that I'm not keen on recently, but that one's fab!
DeleteGoose's Glitter is very talented and a lovely person. She's in the US too & I tracked down one of the Finger Paints flakies for her, in my neck of the woods. =)
ReplyDeleteI like it, but I think it would look better if you made the flames bigger/more disorganized.
ReplyDeleteThanks - I think I agree!
